MAGICAL ICE CREAM COMPANY
BRAND IDENTITY
The Project
Developed a brand identity for the Magical Ice Cream Company for my Visual Communication Design course at Cal Poly Pomona. I was tasked to create a whimsical product that followed the ideals of the client. I utilized a lot of pastels to bring out a sense of joy and to fulfill the client's request for fun and magical branding.

Duration: 4 weeks
Year: Spring 2022
Methods: Research, Brainstorming, Sketching
Tools: Adobe Illustrator
The Process
Brainstorming
I worked with a mind map to gather all of the clients wishes as well as the demographic they sought. With my thoughts collected I began sketching logo thumbnails.

Logo
I kept with the unicorn design and vectorized the logo. After receiving critique on the placement of text by fellow designers, I changed the layout to a more dynamic structure.

Product Designing
After vectorizing the logo and continued to create the product design for an ice cream pint, a bag, and a hoodie from sketch to the final product. My goal was to express a sense of fun by honing in a bubbly aesthetic. I designed the ice cream pint using rainbows and clouds to match the flavor name, rainbow sherbet.

I made a mind map as a method to quickly jot down the clients parameters and built off of it.

I came up with three different logos with personal notes scattered around.

and finally the sweaters I drafted up with only the unicorn in place for the logo.
